I'm currently 63kg and using a 136cm Shox custom with a 2011 10m BWS.
It's a fairly decent set-up for $500

Though I would like to get something for a lighter wind range from about 11-18 knots then I would be able to use the BWS for anything from 15-22knots. I can get going with the 10m but its a fair struggle when it drops to 12knots

What would people recommend for North Queensland and for light winds?

At 63kgs on an 10m BWS you should be able to kite in 12 knts on that size board. I'm 80kgs and can get going on my 10m Park in 12knts on a 133. Not meaning to sound arrogant, but maybe you need to spend time on technique?

Again I agree with BurkeyBoy on this one. A grunty 10m noise is equivalent to most other 11m kites and at around 60kg you would be fine from 13knots.

Don't bother kiting in winds less than this as it can easily drop out and also can be hard to relaunch.

Better spending your beans on a 7 or 8m kite for a greater wind range IMO!

M8, that' understatement of the year. You gotta an amazing deal there bro.
Spend the dosh u saved on your kit and get a massive TT Like 150 x 45 or 145 x 46 or something and you will double your days on the water.
Also if you can get a second bar and chuck 7m extensions on it then you'll have more water time as it increases the power.
Those BWS 10s blow a lot of 12's out of the water for power so you have plenty to work with there.
