Hi, I recently had the hose blow off my pump. Can any one tell me what glue to use to re-attach?

What type of pump do you have?
Just a standard kite pump? Because most of them just have a twist and turn type of set up.
Shouldn't really need glue.

Yes, just a standard yellow kite pump.
Where the hose connects to the nozzle piece, it comes off when inflating. I can see there some sort of yellowish glue that's pliable.

Mine pops off occasionally as well. I just use a couple of decent cable ties clamped down tight and it's good to again.

Otherwise replace the hose with some tube that's not ribbed and use a hose clamp.

Yep zipties are the go. Was a quick fix a year ago. Still going strong.

Ok, I'll give the cable ties a go.

Thanks MDSXR6T for the advice.

zipties do the job, but aren't absolutely air tight. Use a sikaflex adhesive sealant between the hose and the nozzle. I do this and it has held up for over 2 years. Try a Bunnings or similar for a corking tubes worth

Problem using a glue is that if they hose kinks and needs shortening, it makes it much harder to pull it off.

I just use 2 cable ties pulled with pliers and air leaks aren't an issue and my kites need to be pumped up much harder than other kites.

yeah righto, I haven't needed to shorten yet. But doing repairs on hoses for different equipment i just use a sharp modelling knife to cut through and clean up the glue. But if 2 zipties works for you, then that sounds like an easier option.

Or just get another pump from a camping store. They're only $20 bucks! Stuff fixing it.

I got a crack in my hose yesterday, pulled it off and cut the broken bit off, spat on the end for a bit of lube then plugged the hose back on the the end, done

Yeah, I quite often spit on the end when I need a bit of hose lube

Had a Bravo RED delivered today. I'm now a believer in the pump. Get a good one, as a bad pump is a waste of time. You'll love a good pump!!
