G'day people just wondering if people kite in slightly offshore conditions
I'm talking cross shore with just a tiny bit of offshore wind in it
I'm sure people have gone out in cross shore and the wind has gone slightly off sure while they were out there
My reason for asking is I found a spot in an area where usually it's off shore but this particular area it was only the slightest bit offshore and there was actually a point down wind that would catch you if you were to be dragged slightly out to sea the water looked awesome ( flat ) any thoughts ?

Depends on your skill level...........Doesn't sound like the wisest thing to be doing if you are a beginner. You are likely to get dirty, gusty air on launching and are you sure if have a problem out there you won't get dragged out to sea? How good are your self rescue skills?

Having said that Brighton VIC in a northerly is like what you describe and is kited by more experienced kiters all the time...... not for beginners IMO. There is a thread on that somewhere.
