Hi,
I just began kite surfing and got an offer to buy used material for around 300$ (see offer in PDF link below). It's pretty old material, but would get me started without having to worry too much about rental costs and wrecking my material during the beginning.

- Best Kite Kahoona 2012, 11.5 m2
- Best Baar, 2012
- Best Kite Kahoona 2013, 13.5 m2
- North Brett Gonzales, 130 / 38 mit 2 Bindungen Vario von North & Concept (diese ist bequemer als die Concept)
- Pumpe Best
- Kitebag

Any advice would be highly appreciated!

Cheers,

The board alone would be worth around $300 here. However, unless you weigh under 60kg, that board is pretty small and definitely not an ideal size for learning, especially if you kite in light winds...and by the size of these kites I'm guessing you have light winds where you are.

The kites do look well used but they seem to have some life left it them. If they're not leaking they could be great for learning and you might get a season out of them. Just put a stick-on patch on that small canopy tear.

Those lines on the bar however look like they need to be replaced soon. If I'm reading this right it looks like 20m lines , which is too short especially for flying on large kites, I hope you can find some 4-5m extensions.

Kite sizes are important so you want to ask around where you live what sizes other kiters the same weight as you are using, and the same for board size. No point buying cheap stuff if it's not the right size for you and your location

There is a Buy & Sell page for these sort of shameless plugs mate, especially from someone making their first post!!

And they are not called "used material" !!

They are called kites?

Someone get me out of here. I am tempted to buy those kites!!!
