Not sure is this for Gear reviews but.... Looking for entry lvl wetsuit. (my 1st winter wetsuit)

Single/double lined, chest/back zip, titanium blah blah, as i read more, every wetsuit is perfect (ofc it is -.-' ).
I am beginner, kiting in 12+ °C
Suggest me from actual experience pls.
Got 2 choices for now:
-Mystic Star 5/4 double lined
-Billabong Foil 5/4 single lined

Prices are ok (not going for higher pricerange since our winter season is very short, average water temp is 16 °C ) interested in your experiences.

Much appreciated!

Hey mate 5/4 sounds way to heavy for those temps, you will cook, check what others are using at your local spot.
A 3/2 or 4/3 depending on your tolerance to cold should do it.
As for the brand/style see if you can try a couple on and just choose the one that feels the best.

Sea isn't that cold (Mediterranean) but winds are pretty chilli, and i mean really chilly :D

I think i saw 5/4 and some of them telling me to get at least 5, i can always "flush" it if i get 2 hot.... :\

Not much brands here to try, i can order, try, send back if it doesn't fit.... But got positive advices on this 2 models so why the hell not.

How badly do you feel the cold? We're kiting in those kind of temperatures now but I've just this week put the 3.2 long sleeve/shirt leg suit into the cupboard and am now wearing a . . . 3.2 full length cold doesn't bother me much, though...

FWIW Mystic is a kite company, its possible they may have designed their suits better for our sport eg. harness rubbing, and my next wetsuit will be a Mystic Star . . . so long as it has a chest zip. I've got right off back zips, even if they ARE easier to get into.

Had the 5/4 star by mystic, toast in cool waters, nice thermo fleece also on upper body front and back, Velcro ankle straps and drains, I had the rear zip model, pretty sure a chesty is produced now, very understated brand of wetsuit, puts boutique models to shame in longevity and performance,

I would get the Mystic due to ankle straps. Not having ankle straps on the billabong will drive you nuts.

O'Neill sells separate wrist/ankle straps, but having them built-in would be much nicer.

Yeah and the Mystic suits look good. Must be similar price to Billabog, Oneil etc.
