Been offered a gt 10.5 at a good price . Question is this the kite i need i weigh 60 kgs all reviews are off the heaver people . The avarage wind is 10-15 and (very rare) 20 kn max it is a late 2009 2010 model . Is it going too be too much power or just right thinking of a 7 meter as well as a 2 kite qwiv . inter freerider with jumps and eventualy wave riding .

You will get use out of this kite in 10 to 15 at 60kg. My son at 68kg has been riding a 7m GT this season but has now started using a 2010, 10m rpm because the 7m is to small for light wind for him. I would say if the kite is in good nick then go for it.

I weigh about 66 kg and have a 9m core GT which has been a great kite. Best in 15 to 25 kn.
Crashed it heaps while learning, easy to self launch and land and still in great condition.
A lot of the time the wind seems to be around 10 to 15 kn which is not quite enough for me to get back upwind with this kite.
I think the 10.5 would be just right for you in these conditions and handle up to 20 kn ok if it was your only kite.
Maybe you could get a 7 or 8 as well but if you only get 20kn max rarely it may not get much use

I think if you are getting it for a good price ($1000 or less) and its in good condition then it would be a good kite for you!!
