iam heading to sunny coast next weeend ,Maroochydore river area ,any good ,any tips ,i know this time of year aways sketchy ,just keen ,looking like sw wind dose this work ,whats best place to launch ?????? thanhs

Lake Weyba is ok, shallow, but westerly wind is gusty and not fun. Be prepared and have plan B - just in case! Lake Cootharaba is also a possibility but get your duck on standby Terry. Other than these 2 places I dont know of anywhere else that is safe to kite on a westerly up the sunny coast. In Brissy, Wellington Point will be the go. Wear booties, and dont go on the offshore side!
