my daughter's looking at getting into kiting, she lives at tweed ,where is the best flat water, she mentioned kirra beach and the spit at sea world, she has a windsurfing background and can water ski, shes keen to learn but is worried about doing it alone, like someone to hold the kite and to help her out till she gets the hang of it
she's 34years old and about 60 kgs

Your local licensed, insured and qualified instructors will answer all her questions over the course of her 4 or 5 lessons. Her windsurfing and waterskiing will help a bit, but lessons are still essential for her safety and that of others. They'll pay for themselves in terms of abusing the school's equipment whilst learning too.

thanks djdojo she has sussed out the lessons and brought a DVD,(one lesson for $250) her main worry is spending the money on lessons , then doesn't have anyone to help her launch it or keep an eye on her if she gets into trouble

THere is always someone else on the beach to give a launch and if you're in strife, they'll come check on ya. With a few lessons she should have the confidence to head out and be independant.

There is a good crew up on the broadwater that are pretty good with helping out beginners and especially girls. The broadwater is by far the best place to learn as well.

If I remember correctly AngiePangi or a similar handle on Seabreeze is amongst it all. Get your Daughter to look her up and chat. Will be very useful.
