06 is old. You need to give more info. Model, size, your weight and wind conditions etc...

Hey Mate
As someone who has just been there I'm going to be the first to ask the obvious question. Have you had lessons? I bought all my gear second hand, but am so glad I had a couple of lessons first. Got to feel what a modern kite is like to fly and got loads of advice from the instructor. The first thing he told me was and kites pre 2009ish, were a little antiquated to the point of being dangerous for a beginner.

Avoid anything that is older than '08 seems to be the general rule you'll hear most people advise.
Seems 08 was the turning point in kiting safety designs etc etc. I wasn't into the sport then, but this seems to be sensible advice...

06 cab should be fine, that's like first gen switchies and crossbows, not as refined as the newer stuff but still has good depower range..
Just get lessons
