Picked up the new 2027 duotone evo sls in 8m & 10m the other day from actionsports to see if the hype matches the product.
It was only nudging 20 knots so grabbed the 10m, straight from the bag, pulled off the tags and pumped her up.Leading edge is noticeably smaller, enhanced stitching looks bomb proof to take the higher pressure and the frame looked really ridged sitting on the beach.
Got on the water, I reckon I looked at the kite once or twice just at the beginning,then after that it was just seamless feel……..the feedback to the bar is just so precise(and light) it’s literally an extension of your arm.
Boosting was just controlled and comfortable, down looped smooth with no surprises and it’s definitely more responsive and quicker through the turn than last years.After about an hour or so the wind had picked up a bit and it become more of the same,just bigger boosts and hang time .Soaked up a couple of decent gust really well,kite still looped really smoothly and was just predictable and a lot of fun.Had a great session in what turned out to be 20-24knots at the end of the day.Definitely worth a demo if you’re looking for a great all rounder. And if you already ride evo’s you’re gonna love the 2027🤙
