Hi All,
I am new to riding a strapped surfboard. I have a Vanhunks surfboard and straps but my leading foot feels like it is rubbing agains a steel plate where there is no padding, and is very uncomfortable. It could be a poor beginner stance but can anybody recommend some good well padded straps that might help me out.

I had a similar issue with the bliss pads on my mako, the plastic housing for the binding was rubbing real bad on the outside of my foot. I cut up an old stubble holder and wedged it in where the plate was. Presto problem solved, comfiest pads ever and a cheap fix

I had trouble with foot straps getting pains on the top of my feet for days later. I have been using north feet straps for years now and have found them to be soft on my feet.

I just got some Airush straps for my foilboard... $60 a pair and really nice. I had some Dakine ones which were nice, similar in design but I think the Airush ones are better.

I use either the Cabrinha surf straps like these www.kitepower.com.au/collections/kitesurfing/products/cabrinha-surf-strap?variant=29843878660

Or the Dakine "Slim" surf straps like these http://eu.dakine.com/w/windsurf/footstraps

Because you can stand on them, they are lightweight, once adjusted to your foot they do not stretch and they are comfy.

I have a pair of the NSI on a Delta board, they are comfy too just a bit bulkier, and you will have trouble standing on them. I need to be able to stand on them because I switch, and it just helps when you move your feet if you can stand anywhere.
