Hi all, just a short note to give my impressions of the 14m Helix. This kite has so much power its difficult to describe. Last year I was on a 15m Boxer SLE and the power was great with good depower, newer being overpowered. The Helix scared me on day 1. It is a high aspect ratioo kite and keeps accelerating. I am 95kg and was so overpowered it wasn't funny. I was considering selling it to get the 12 when my trim loop buckle snapped sending me to full power. I have replaced the loop with the $150 dollar smart loop. Yes its expensive and I didn't want to pay but I had no option. This has transformed the kite. Go and get one! I now have awsome depower and feel in control. Was in 25kts with no real issues. Its simple and works a treat on 1:1.. The other trim set up doesn't have enough range and even with the kite on the lowest power settings was to much in 20kts for me! Now I'm happy! Its an awsome kite when set up correctly!

I also have done this plus added line ext, to make it about the same length as most kites on the market 25mtr. These are by far the best kites I have ever had. Freaken awsome. but not for the faint of heart or the lazy. These are kites with power. Lock the power in with your legs and arms and hang the hell on woot. fast powerfull and if you really need to pike out pull up fast with ease.

Lock in the buckle low and hang on.

After upgrading to the smart loop I would have to say I will be using my nine 80 percent of the time now, as for the 12 I had it up to about 27 knots and have had the nine up to 35 knots with the upgrade.

I also put the Naish swivel on as well and it works very nicely.Just got the extensions so I will make up one bar with the 24mtr lines and the other bar will stay at 20mtrs for wave riding.

I got it from RPS. They gave me a refund without question. The 150 was the first listed price then they were reduced.
