I know this is a little off topic, however i thought this would be a good place to see who everyone was using as an ISP. I was on a Telstra 400meg limit per month but it gets blown out every month and it is the most expensive package available. I have been looking at Optus 20gig cap for $49.99, anyone else got a suggestion?

I have Optus cable and 300mb download (midday until midnight), and 600mb download (from midnight through until midday)....

This is always blown really quickly because I predominately use the net at like 7pm onwards and 300mb doesnt go that far at that hour...

If you can time it from midnight until midday then 600mb helps out... (Bad thing if u go over ur down 2 a snail's dial-up pace)

telstra have a special for $70 for uncapped 512 but they drop it down to $35 if you have a mobile phone with them as well so $35 for uncapped is not bad at all.

thanks guys, especially windrider, that site is the bomb, i was thinking of dodo but after reading some of the posts will steer well clear, sticking with majors does have its advantages. I think the optus plan is the go. Cheers.

I,m on Telstra cable unlimited.

and have to say if you can get cable go for it!!! its pretty much as fast a connection as you can get. The only bummer is that on my account after 10 Gig it drops to 56k which is very gay.

But 10 Gig is alot of downloading goodness, but i know i could push it heaps further if i could. If ur downloading heaps 10 Gig might not be enough. I approached an Optus retailer and was pretty much told that cable was the way to go.

Hit cable if you can!!!

Go for IINET broadband 2+ plans.. they are great. faster than cable and regular dsl. plus great price.. reliable connection. etc.
Ive been on the whole range of plans, they are all great value.
Otherwise go optus for a close second.
