Anyone ridden the Kaeko kite surfboard? It's billed as a good allrounder for average Aussie conditions. I'm considering it for my first strapped surfboard for use in slop and small/medium waves.
Well at least you've got 298 more posts than the 4 accounts with suspiciously similar names who genuinely felt the need to pimp kaeko boards last time they were mentioned. They might be alright but the marketing department sucks.
I've also been on Seabreeze longer than you Dave. I ran a search and nothing came up for Kaeko, old threads obviously cleaned up. It's a shame there's no legitimate reviews available particularly if they are an Australian product.
I had a look at the website. They use some really good technology, in some ways similar to a Stallion but about 1/2 the price. Pvc foot pads, vacuum bagged. In saying that they have only one design that I can see that looks a little awkward, with a fish tail.
Ok guys, you're a tough crowd! But we believe in the quality of our boards. And we believe in our mission to get everyone out on the water, even if you can't afford the big bucks kite brands. That means we don't charge expensive prices to hire large marketing departments & we don't pay kite platforms to write us fancy reviews. But it sounds like you could still use some proof that our boards are worth your money.
So we propose a challenge - Who here would like the chance to own their very own Kaeko Dream 5 Fin? We'll choose one lucky Seabreezer & send them a brand new board for FREE. All we ask is that you ride it, test it, thrash it. And then tell the rest of us here on Seabreeze what you think!
Of course, it'll have to be someone with street cred (somebody who has multiple posts on Seabreeze). And you'll have to spend some time writing up a serious review that others can also benefit from. So let us know if you are interested?

Everyone loves free stuff but imo I think you would get same or better result from just having a demo, tested by various credible kiters. Good to see your confidence in your product.
Thanks for your interest Ricardo1709. It looks like you know a lot about surfing so you'd be a great person to test the board & push it to its limits. We also appreciate your feedback toppleover. At the moment we've decided the best thing we can do is run some demo days once the kite season starts again in Australia later in the year. I would be happy to test as well. I have always given honest reviews. Even happy to give the board back. I just love trying new designs and see how they hold up. Good luck with your business, it's pretty tough out there. I admire anyone who jumps into business for themselves.
I think doing demos is your best option, if you can get the word out and line up some wind at the start of next season I think there will be plenty of locals around this big burnt country that would give you good feed back. But first we need to get through the coming winter. Like dafish riding new shapes is always interesting. Cheers Horey
If you want to send me a free board, I'd happily review it. Can assure the masses there'd be no kaeko brand pimping as I'm already a firewire fanboy So the challenge would be to convince me it is as good as (or better) than my vanguard. And I'm just an average hack, so it would be an honest review...
I have one of the Dream Machines and the board goes well. I had only ridden old Surfboards before so not comparing to any other Kite Brand boards but I'm stoked with it. No damage yet so durability so far is good. I mostly kite the secret harbour beaches and it seems perfect for it. I'm Riding it strapless as a Quad set up. I would say they are very good value for money IMO.
