Hi,

I have lost two center fins on my Wam surfboard. The first time I thought I might have not tighten the screw (FCS type) so the second time I did ensure they were tight but it happened again. I don't thing I hit anything as the water was deep enough.

I will contact the dealer tomorrow, but wonder if anybody has had the same problem...? Love the board but it's $120 each time to replace one fin as they only sell the whole set of three...anybody know of any Future fin alternatives, other than the originals..?

Good wind

Maybe you have cracked your FCS sockets, so any side on force will cause the fins to drop out - never have seen it happened but I am currently repairing a board with FCS sockets split down the length of the fin.

Look for a hair line crack.

Rich, the North Wam uses Future fin boxes. I looked at the box and can't see anything but will take a closer look again. Thanks.

Same thing happened to my Future box as well - check if the rear pin is still there, not easy to notice it gone as its the same color - I knocked my one out some how through which i also lost a few fins. You'll need a new replacement box if this is the case...probably set you back $100

I checked the box and seems ok. One thing I noticed is the center box is not as deep. I did a bit of research and it appears Futures come in 3/4" boxes in the outside and 1/2" boxes in center.
