Hi All

I'm looking for something to stop wind chill. Our water temperature is nice but I get really cold from wind chill after a couple of hours.

Any of you tried the Radiator long sleeved vests? Are they any better than your standard rubber lined rashie?

Thanks

ive had a couple

the thinnest "rashie" wasn't enough for me, it was pretty good but i used to double them up even in summer simply to stop wind chill

i just bought the next thickness up, which is more a wetsuit style top with a small zipper at the small of your back, one of the best buys ive made, single "rashie" that does everything for me

man radiator is da bomb.
i got a short sleave thermal rashie last year and i hav since chucked out my full lenght staemer because i dont need it anymore.
imho they are the warmest strongest and the best priced brand on the market.
mine is a year old with untold abuse no holes, no tears, no bust stiching, its not even wearing out under my harness

As Damo said they are wicked, I've used mine in Tassie under wetties for sailing, swimming surfing whatever, I take it everywhere. Usually just where it with boardies when kiteing but works a treat under a wettie if it's a bit cooler. They also seem to have specials on at the Radiator/Sirocco shop in Fremantle,

I`ve had one for 5 years.
It has out lived every other piece of surfing equipment I`ve owned.
Performance is second to none.

Hay Greg!
I have the sleeveless 1.5 mm vest. Fantastic. I wear it 3-4 months of the year with a rashy over the top. Keeps the wind off and is a little bit of a cushion against impac too.

I'm thinking of their 3/2 steamer for winter. My prolimit is falling apart.

Cheers

I got myself a long sleeve radiator a little while ago. Was really stoked with it, good price and just what I wanted. Not full thick like a wettie top, but not porous either like some of the thermal tops.
Only problem is I lost it after the second time I wore it out!

Would definately get another one again, cept just been going out in my full wettie.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up buying an O'Neil jacket. It is smooth skin (which was what I was looking for), available in a local store and on sale.

I decided against the Radiator because the local stores said it was the same as the high end thermal rashies available and I could not check one out in a local store.
