Please, what do you think is the best surfboard with straps for Wanda/Cronulla or Longreef conditions. Have 75kg, will never use kite larger than 10m (currently 7 and 9m). Thinking about North Wam 5'10" or Kontact (guess more stable in speed and chop). Thanks a lot!

For Wanda I uses a 5,10" Wam without strappes and 6ft Wam with strappes. Both work very well if your close to 6 ft in hight then i would go the 6 Ft Wam. I am 6ft and 85kg. Nise photos of George Brad and John.

Any feedback on Cabrinha S-Quad?

By the way, have bit over 6'1", but just 75kg, thought 5'10 board should be long enough, right?

I've just purchased a 2013 WAM 5'8.
Was a bargain.
With 6'2 and 94kg it might be a bit to small?!

It's my first surfboard, worth keeping it?!

Thanks

I am 77kgs and tried the 2014 Wam 5'8, which definitely felt a bit small for strapless, surfing the wave with not too much input from the kite, as it only has 21 litres of volume, but if you only do strapped in fully powered riding with a surfboard it should be o.k. but not ideal....North recommend the 5'8 for riders up to 70kgs max.

Just went on to a new 6ft wham last december ,im 80kgs, mainly ride in column/ sunshine beach, havnt been to Wanda for so many years but this board rips in mushy stuff and have ridden up to 6 ft , ride with straps most the time because of a buggered hip , have ridden it strapless in clean 6 ft plus and was just as good.

Demo one you wont be disappointed , and rock solid build .

Plenty of guys loving the wam here.

Anyone ridden theirs for a decent period of time (more than 50 sessions I spose) and can comment on construction?

One of the things you can't check out while demoing gear is how long it will hold up.

Spark,

Have been on mine for about forty sessions and not a sign of wear , i do have other surfboards that preform well but arent as tough as these.

Great board , im 80kg and dont jump to much in the waves , i do have north pads on this as well .
