Hi, would a slingshot rpm 8m 2011 kite be a good starter kite for a person with no lessons? Just 3 years of experience of powerkiting? And I am 150lbs and get an average of 20mph or lower

Slingshots are a good kite, but I'd go with a 10m if your just starting.

1Newbee,

There is upwards of 60 different kite brands on the market nowadays that each make at least 1 or 2 kites that would suit a beginner. As a general rule, as a complete beginner, you're trying to search for a good ''all around kite'' and avoid kites that are very specific for certain disciplines such as freestyle or racing. The internet is already full of information and reviews for just about any kite out there.

Not the best kite for a learner. I'd probably go for a best kahoona if you are starting out.
