hey guys,

Has anyone had issues with the new slinsgshot laceups?
There amazingly comfortable, but the laces seem to loosen up for me throughout the session and I have to keep stopping and tightening them up. It's ANNOYING! Not sure if these are just mine or a general problem with them.

Cheers,

Sam

i have a pair of cabrinha syncs and they loosen off. solution was to tie the laces in a knot, removes adjustability but also stops people with big feet riding your board.

I was thinking about doing that, but pretty keen on retaining adjustability. That said... there's nothing worse than big feeted mother fkrs haha

They all do it, i have heard that mystic has a replacment strap coming that will replace the lace system but it might be quicker to order them from the states as i think they are all ready out there.

the plastic toggle that came with my cardboard laceups didn't last long so i just tied them in double bows and with the cord they used it works perfectly. doesn't slip yet easy to undo if you want to adjust.

if the slingy cord is too slippery just rethread them with something else. old shoelaces from running/hiking shoes would probably work fine.

mine work perfect. you need to over tighten them a little bit and then slide the clip down, take your foot out and then grabeach bit of string coming out of the clip(not the loose end)and pull them in the opposite direction. i have been using the lunacy with these for a couple of months now and i haven't had them change size yet. they are super comfy and hold your feet in really well when you get them right.

When you ride with them and put extra force on them this pulls the strings in the opposite direction. What is the differance? They still slip especially when ridding toeside or blind or have a crash where your heals are lifted off of the board this all has the same affect they get loose. you can put them on the ground and stick your feet in and lift your heal and they will slip every one i have seen this season has done it and they all have tied nots in them to stop it.

that is just what i have done to stop them loosening. if u pull the laces back against the clip thing(pull the laces back onto themselves)they lock in even tighter.
