Hi all,

I'm going to be in Victor Harbor from Dec 22nd til 28th visiting all the way from France. I'll have a car and my own kiting gear.
I'd love to know what the most recommended spots are and where exactly they are located.

I've found this resource: www.southcentralkiteboarders.com/SAkiters%20map.html
but am just not sure how up to date the info is. I've been kiting for 12 years so can ride pretty much anywhere and am a fan of both flat water and waves.

Also, if any of you are up for kiting together, I'd be very grateful to have someone to share a kite session with.

And finally, what's the water temp like? do i need to bring a wetsuit? is a shorty good enough?

Thanks for any info you can share!!

I'll let the locals fill in details on how to get to each location, but you'll have lots to choose from within 30 minutes drive from Victor.

You've got Kent Reserve at Victor, flat water mostly. Then waves between Middleton and Goolwa, flat water and waves at the Murray Mouth.

Europeans often go without a wetsuit here over summer, but if you've got room I'd suggest at least a shorty... you'll appreciate it if you're floating in the water for any time, like a wipeout or if you're surfing cos there's no wind.

You'll find other kite boarders at the popular locations at that time of year, so say G'day.
I'd recommend joining the SAKSA group on Facebook to see who's available to join you.
