yes and yes

SE predicted, hopefully backed up by a seabreeze creating some good wind! [:D

Think there is about 2ft swell predicted from looking at the long range forecast.

If you have access to a 4WD, drive from goolwa up to the murray river mouth on the beach, the waves usually get a little bigger further up the beach and the wind more side shore I believe (may have to double check that though).

Hope you score. there usually are some crew there that ride that part of the coast so you may have someone to kite with too:)

If i wasnt stuck at work all weekend I would ve come to join ya!
have fun
cheers:)

hey thanks heaps for your awesome reply Elise...
hopefully that wind come in and i get a kite out there, meet some locals and enjoy a different beach.
not sure if i'll have a access to a 4x4 or not, or if i'll need to rent a car.
and i should have the day off on monday around adelaide.
i'm guessing no waves there, but still a few good beaches to kite?
yeah, cheers for ya help!

no worries always happy to share the stoke

also, what you may be able to do is drive to the murray mouth over hindmarsh island (normal roads, dont need a 4WD), and park at the last carpark . You can set up your kite on sugars beach inside the mouth (awesome flat water kiting) and kite out to the waves from the mouth, but you need to have plenty of wind to do that though. That will bring you to about the same area that you would drive to over the beach with a 4WD from goolwa. Just be mindful that there may be a bit of current in the channel, but I know you are not a beginner so you will be fine.

Adelaide gets waves on the mid coast (not sure about monday though), but this time of the year the chances you get wind there are not as high as in winter (and often offshore) However, closer to the CBD there are plenty of spots where the wind will funnel in nicely on the seabreeze, generally SB patterns are SW at the adelaide part of the coast, and get stronger as you go more up north. If it is on during the day i'll be out at the chicken shop (Mirani court, west lakes shore), as I leave at 4 for work :-) more than welcome to join. Otherwise there is usually people at grange, at the torrens river mouth, largs bay or north haven

may cya on the water monday

hey guys. I'm also migrating to adelaide for a week to get away from the s*** weather in melbourne. I can see a fair bit of wind on the forecast, but it all has east in it. I've ridden most places in adelaide metro, and they don't usually work in a south east. Can anyone let me know where I should be looking to head out if it does blow south east? I'm not fussy about the conditions, flat water, chop or waves works. But would prefer somewhere closer to semaphore. I know about goolwa and the murray mouth, is there anywhere closer by?

Hi dude, try the funnel at Aldinga Beach. It's just down from the pub.

Offshore and flat water!
