After a cheap learner board ,90kg's,windsurf background, don't want to spend much on a board that i learn on and are bound to try my hand at building a board or three once I've got the basics, doesn't matter how rough either because I've done quite a bit of repair work on w/surf boards over the years. If any ones got something that might be of use send me a message ,thanks STEVE.

hey mate i was in the same boat as you, in regards to crossing over from windsurfing to kiting.

theres 2 options.

go for a larger twintip that will continue (once you have the basics down) as a light winder board, or if your like me go for a more directional board. it does involve gybing or changing the board around once you head back to shore but you'll find it much closer to a windsurfer and will work great in waves. which i think all windsurfer/kiter crossovers end up.

online theres plenty of cheapys or head to onboard and pick yourself up a sweet priced new one.

hav fun
