Second sesh on my new 10m Naish Park today. First sesh was ordinary wind and was not ideal for testing the kite out.
Had my second sesh at Pazza today in great wind (15-20 kts) and very happy with the kite. Wasn't sure if it was gonna have much boost but the thing took off big time.
One thing which I wasn't real impressed with was the relaunch, when compared to previous kites with greater swept tips. The kite hit the deck 3-4 times after stacking but was not real easy/quick to relaunch. I was trying for hot relaunch but it just sat on the leading edge for some time. Tried choking, then letting the bar out, with not much real effect.
Does anyone have any tips for quicker relaunch. Should I be swimming in the opposite direction as the edge of window in which I want to relaunch from?
Am keen to get relaunch sussed before hitting waves...

Hey Chappy,
New Naish Park, as in 2012 model? If its the 2012 model Naish have come up with the Anti-Stiction Window which helps to loose the water in the tips when you go to relaunch. With most modern C shaped bridal kites like the Park and RPM for example you need to have the bar all the way put to assist in relaunching. I tried the 10m 2012 Park a few months ago and found that it relaunched a hell of a lot easier than the 2011. Plus with the other changes Damo made to the kite the 2012 Park is a beast! It'll take you skywards with ease thats for sure. Any problems let me know and I'll see what I can do to help out.

Yeah it's the 2012. The little windows near the tips seem to work well, the drama was getting the kite near the edge of the window from directly down wind, I think some water was getting behind the leading edge.
It's only my 2nd kite with it so probably just needs some trialling, didn't know if anyone had some tips out there.

Hey Chaps, had last years Park and have ridden this years a fair bit. The kite is really sensitive on bar pressure and as you are trying to get it to the side of the window...too much pressure and it will plant itself back on its leading edge. Trust me- after a few sessions you'll get used to it.
Ps- play around with the attachment settings on the kite, makes a huge difference to how it flies !

Cheers Loverboy.
I was wondering how much changing the settings would tweak things. Will definitely spend some time trying out the different attachment points.

If its more of a c shape kite try a reverse launch.
So---when the kite is LE down in the water get a hold of your steering lines a metre or so up, and grab one a little bit closer...Then give them a really good yank and the kite should fly backwards up a couple of metres and then (cause you grabbed a steering line a little closer) itll take off.
WARNING this is not a relaunch for Rookies. If you do this wrong it'll rip you out of the water in stronger winds. So make sure your a experienced (assuming that means skilled ;) kiter.
Its worth a try me thinks. I do it all the time on my 4 line Fuels. Works a treat.
