I am looking at the forecast for Thursday, 30 degrees should produce a Seabreeze. It looks like a light westerly would be present without the seabreeze so it could be the last seabreeze.

Parham normally cranks out another 3 to 5 knots in my opinion. Therefore I am planning on heading there Thursday after work kiting from 5PM to 6PM. I give it a 50/50 chance but the next 50/50 chance for a seabreeze will be a while off.

Who's in?
Chaps whats wrong with chancing another wasted trip to Parham
camarilloB they will make water without you knock of early
jamdfingr there will be no breakers to get through
Spawnoffossile/Fossil I will buy you a beer in the club house if there is no wind.

Tellem he's Dreamin!

I hope you get a go out there mate but I don't think its gona happen.

Especially if youre still on your 8!

Take a video of yourself though cause I would be interested to see if you actually do get a go out there... and want photographic evidence!

Either way, I have dinner with the In-Laws so can't make it.

I think CamarilloB was wanting a session there on sunday....

Good luck!

hi guys, jamdfingr's right, 30 degrees or not, a seabreeze at this time of the year is extremely unlikely, even at Parham.

However, there is some front brewing for the weekend. Based on the current forecasts I'd say there is a 50/50 chance of rideable wind on either Saturday or Sunday.

Going to try to get there for either a Kite or a Windsurf.

I think the Missus has plans though so will keep you posted!

I think I am with the G'daddy on this one.... but who knows you might get lucky!

Saturday Sunday might have a bit of a better chance windwise..

I am free Saturday and Sunday afternoon so bring it on!

Photographic evidence is off the cards as it looks like I will be the only one up there and I don't have a gopro or similar. Also the Gdaddy's comments are normally on the money so the odds have fallen from 50/50. Perhaps photographic evidence of drinking a long neck in the sports club is all I will be able to muster.

I still think it is worth a look, Pneucube if OHBR has orange south westerly arrows around 3:30 4:00PM I will be at Parham by 5:00PM, bring a surfboard additional flotation may be handy.

Ahh well, good luck mate, I think youre going to need floaties and a pedestal fan attached to your surfboard to see any wind!

We should catch up for a beer some time in the city after work and you can tell me how it went!

Cheers,

Luke.

Lang, I have used all my free credits on wasted trips to the beach, so anymore will cost the little social life that I have remaining. Doubling the size of our family a year ago has hit harder than envisaged!

I presume you have plastered duct tape all over the switchy to get thru this unlikely seabreeze

I am always keen for a beer after work, I will post you.

Also the switchy is fixed, I just don't have it in my hands at the moment.

Fingers crossed for wind

Absolutely no chance in hell for a kite today mate, sorry. Maybe the weekend will have a bit, wouldnt hope for anything over 15knts though.
Ah the beauty of the non-kiting season. Wish it were summer again...

Yeah man, let me know when you got a free arvo.

Im pretty busy this week, but next week would work!

Are you still going to try and get a Kite in today?

I think the forecast is looking like a solid westerly on Sunday.

Would come up to Parham on saturday arvo around 3.30 if youre keen for a kite then?

Check the forecast!

High tide Adelaide is around 1700 wha ttime is that at Parham? In any case should be alright for the afternoon!

I am keen! the Sunday isn't looking to shabby either..

It would be very good to get out there as I have this itch ;-)

at low tide - yes

at high tide (such as on Sat arvo) - yes, but expect it to be a bit gusty

P.S.
But I still think there is only a 50/50 chance of the wind being strong enough to kite. Lets hope they upgrade the forecasts a bit by tomorrow.
