Getting a bit jack of the chop with the sea breeze. Too small to use, too big to ignore.

I suspect West Lakes would be a bit too gusty, and maybe a few too many power lines. I haven't actually explored to see if there's anywhere that might work.

Is it a goer? Has anyone ever tried it?

If you really boost well, I reckon you could get a good look into people's back yards!

hi ive worked a heap teaching, windsurfing and sailing on the lake.

in a seabreeze most places are quiet offshore or to gusty. the only direction to kite it would be dead north or south, it would also need to be windy as, so that you dont drift down wind.

good luck.

try the pat to if it gets clean

I think we all know how likely that is!

I kited West Lakes last summer (pics to prove it). I was good fun, little gusty but nothing compared to the UK. Launching was tricky so need a good kite-b!tch. Happy riding

There are strict controls over what type of water sport occurs in the lake. If not restricted now it would not take long before it was. We windsurfed it for years, gusty as, unpredictable, back wind, lots of other water users. Once you could windsurf the ocean you never went back.

My advice is don't do it, it can only lead to trouble.
