No!!!! Say it isnt so!!!!
.... As another question, how windy does it get in winter around here? Have been more of a summer thing for me but want to start going out in winter. No seabreezes but any wind at all?

Luke, winter can be hit and miss. There is usually a lull in the weather as kitingtopher says around April'ish for 4 to 6 weeks but then we get the stormy frontals roll in. Usually they are pretty strong so get ur small kite ready (7's, 8's and 9's usually). A lot of people go into hibernation for winter but there is a fair crew of us that love the balls to the wall winter session chasing the wind and waves. To be honest i think i rode more last winter than i did last summer, however this summer has been much better than last years.
