Hi guys,

I will be in Airlie beach in August for a couple of days. Just wondered what are the appropriate kite sizes around this time of the year? I weigh 65 Kg and ride a 140x42 TT. I have an 8m, 11m and 15m kite available. Not sure how much I can fit into 20 kg luggage but I would like to take at least 2 of them.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Cheers

Not really anywhere in Airlie to kite though, Conway Beach is probably closest.
Check the forecast before you go as the wind up here comes and goes....

Just been there , SE trade winds are offshore and would be gusty as

jump on a yacht and head out to Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Islands

or Conway Beach but it has crocidiles or head 60 km north to Bowen

Might be ok if the wind was from the north or NE

I'll be up there 7-14th at least and will be bringing 9 and 13... I might have a hookup to get us out to Whitehaven... Send me PM when you get up...
