Hi there, i am going to be moving to Gold Coast Area this month for a few years. I have never kited there before and looking to live in pretty close drive to the best kiting beaches there (enjoy waves but i am also stoked on a bit of flat too).

I work mostly from home so i am keen to get a place in a decent kiting area.

Would love to hear from kiters who know the areas well and can recommend the best spots to be kiting and also living...... Currumbin?, Palm Beach?, ... appreciate any and all feedback on the pros and cons of different spots..

Thanks heaps

I cant fault living in main beach. waves out front, good stretch of coast for downwinders and flat water ten minutes away if needs be.

You can kite anywhere from the spit down to burliegh just as long as you're not near the flags.

im 76kgs and have a 10 and 8. i use my 10 a lot more than my 8.

I built a block of units at Palm Beach and there were plenty of pros, that was about 10 years ago, it may have declined since then.
