Hiya
I am just Checking that what seabreeze /wilies says is correct?
Cairns Townsville Ayr etc is a regular 17knots?

Anyone there to confirm?

It hasn't been a good season at Port Douglas, often the forecasted wind doesn't come or even if Low Isles shows good wind it doesn't reach the beach. From what I've seen on the graphs Cairns and Townsville didn't get much wind either.
If you'r willing to go to Cooktown you should get some wind there.

Shouldn't affect u too much.....just hook up and head west

Heading up to port Douglas in oct is it worth lugging some gear up maybe a north nugget and a 12m? thanks in advance for any advice

October is about the tail-end of the season up there mate. The average winds are in the low to mid teens, so I would definitely take the nugget, but add another bigger kite to the mix - maybe a 14m or 16m if you can. How much do you weigh?
