We are heading up tomorrow as the wind is suppose to kick in from the north all day thursday north to the north west, which is the optimum conditions for the north side of double island point where all the best flat water is. Low tide is around 1045 to 1230 by about friday each day so the tide for getting on the north side will be in our favour as well, looks like the wind will also shift to the south bringing rain on satr and sun. So I will be heading back friday as its bit ****ty camping in the rain. Going to pick the eyes out of the wind and cruise on back to the gold to get the best of the southerlys at narrow neck on the weekend. The best of both worlds. Flat water and great surf.

Its truly the best flat water location in the world when the wind and tide is in our favour. Prey to the gods for good strong, steady wind. We will be camping on the Tewa side on the east. They say that the north side of Double island point goes off only 12 times a year and when the tides are also in our favour. You have to kite as if its the last kite you will ever have.. Kitesurf4life....till your arms fall off..
Kurtis and have I have kited there three time in the last month and its been totally epic. Then looking forward to the summer north east winds on the goldy.. so many tricks to learn so little time.
