Can anyone tell me the season start in Hervey Bay for kiting and any good spots to go.i askede before but have lost the info. Thanks Yew!

Google map covers Hervey bay and south to border - not as good as your state web site!!
SUGGEST VIEW IN SATELLITE MODE - ZOOM IN TO LOCATIONS HIGHLIGHTED.

WINDS are in the lap of the gods - this time of year is fical - check out the wind rose for area suggest afternoon time selection.
reg.bom.gov.au/climate/averages/wind/selection_map.shtml

Consistent winds this time of year in Qld = trades - they are way up north = Kite Surfari zone cooktown way.

cheers for the info,i did also get told to hook up with some of the kite shops once i had firm dates.

Hi Fuall. We generally expect the winds to pick up come October, but September used to be the month they kicked in. Last season was a bit weird. Things got going early and pretty consistently but then Christmas and most of January were well below par. Spots are very tide and wind direction dependent, so message me when you're interested in heading out and I'll give you a heads up.

I mainly ride a 10 that time of year and am 82kg, but do also fly my 12. Get in touch closer to the time and I can give you a heads up.

Hey Guys, we are arriving Hervey Bay Monday morning. Any updates on conditions for next 2 weeks? PM me as I'm keen for a kite, just bringing the 12m with me. PS- it's blowing it's tits off here today yew!

Not a good looking week at all unfortunately. After the weekend could turn with a southerly change.

Saw one kite today at toogoom,looked like about 14m.Found a spot near a caravan park/fun fair? if anyone is heading out let me know :) can meet at enzo's?

As burkey boy says Looks like the fan will get turned on Mon, ill be kiting the Burrem to Woodgate stretch for a couple of days then hitting the sunny coast.

Start of next week is looking good for the bay. Just got back from Noosa. RIvermouth is good in N, NE, Lake Weyba in anything S, Call in and talk to George at Adventure Watersports Noosa.

Coming week looks about as good as we get it, assuming the forecast holds. Get in touch if you want to head out, different spots can work at different times of the tide and wind direction.

kited yesterday south of Pier,bloody shallow.looks like the wind has done a runner.Back to WA tomoz yew!

Heading to HBay. This sun / mon. Wind looks SE and 18-20kts. Do you guys go to pier or near the aquarium in those conditions. How much effect does in/out tide have there.
