I've got the day off work, I've just checked the weather report and it looks like a possable maybe for a kitesurf later on today, fingers crossed.
Is it just me or has their been NO WIND lately? Whats going on, it is summer isnt it? I am so hanging out for a kitesurf right now, I'm even putting up a post willing it to blow, lol.
I'm going to think positive today, I've got the car packed with the kitesurfing gear and I even through in my 10meter (my smallest kite)
Which reminds me, over the holiday break I saw this bloke sailing at Lake Cootharaba in about 6 knots with a 17m ozone, I couldn't believe my eyes, their he was cruising across the lake without so much as a white cap to be seen. All I could do was watch, their was no way I was going to get going with my 12meter in these light winds (note to diare: "start saving for a 17m").Turns out the guy is the local kitesurfing instructor and he often gets plaining in 6-8 knots combining his 17m kite with a 147in x 44in board.
Which brings me back to Kitesurfing today, I'm going to head down to Caloundra and wait for the tide to change and for the wind to blow, 15-20 knots if you please,

. Here's hoping, cheers Marcus
