Poop you should get your lessons in January.. U will be ready to go anytime the wind is. January is only 1/2 way thru' the summer season. So throw away 1/2 a season because the glass is'nt full enough???

If U check this link out (use Brisbane and 3pm & month by month) U will see that the wind does not consistently shift to a lot of offshore till May / June. The readings are very averaged but useful to get dominant directions and % of days it is windy.
reg.bom.gov.au/climate/averages/wind/selection_map.shtmlNot saying that there will be a lot of windy days between now and then but I do not think about slowing down till after March.
Anywhere you get a seabreeze it is still active thru' March but tends to peak slightly later and fade earlier with less punch. This time of year 27 degC and up U can guarantee a seabreeze boost to any onshore wind.
So far Nov' & Dec' have been great for the number of kiteable days. Admittedly U would need 2 kites to maximise this

(and experience

).
Cheers
