Firstly let me say, what an epic day at wello! Whilst I was out however the fence on the western side of the car park adjacent to the rigging area blew over.... onto my car!! I thought something was up when I was dragging my gear back and I saw the workers holding the fence up so it didn't blow over again. They were a little coy when I approached my car and didn't mention anything about the damage. It wasn't until I reversed away from the fence that I noticed the damage to my bonnet. The site manager admitted liability and hopefully it will be sorted out through their insurance. I will find out on Monday. I would really appreciate anyone who witnessed the event to contact me on 0403620123. Even though they have admitted fault they may try to squirm their way out of it. If I can tell them I have names of witnesses I'm sure it will help my case.
Apart from this. Be very wary parking next to any temporary fences when it is REALLY windy and if the company concerned puts further restrictions on the parking next to the rigging area at Wello you will know why.

Sometimes the builders like to put signage on their temp fence, which only acts like a sail and can push the fence over on a windy day.

You shouldn't have a problem with the builders insurance. It happens, its the person who erected the fences fault and the builder who acepted their work or added the sign/ banners etc.

I've done it and the insurance covered the damaged cars (we put notes on their wind screens) so i reckon you should be okay.
