I would love to kiteboard from Wello to Morten or Straddie. Call me crazy but I keep thinking about it. All we would need is a Decent breeze and a back up boat. Is any body intrested?

Yea im interested but the winds been crap and unfortunatly im starting to fear it might not ever come. . . lol, and its yr 12, gotta get through this nightmare. i guess theres too many other people with other obligations, but if a back up boats needed i can use the tinny we have lying in front of our house. Cant wait for a decent breeze even if no one else is interested ill come along.

The trouble is when the winds up enough to kite, the bay gets sooo knarley all you do is bash your way through 1 to 2mt of total chop and washing machine, you wont have to worry bout sharks getting you- they'l be too busy laughing

Hey Pauliö,

That would be half the fun. The English chanel has been crossed by kite and I'm sure there would have been swell.

Does a´nybody want to be involved, I realy need a back up boat!

I have windsurfed from wello to moreton, its a great expedition but I'd not kite over without a support boat. Got to watch out for sandbanks too, I managed to stand in the middle of the bay a couple of times so it will be a bit too shallow for the boat in those area. Also everyone should be fluent in retrieve and relaunch from boat. A round bucket with water to put your lines in will help to keep it from tangling.

Think thats a cool Idea bin planing a trip (over a few days with 4wd+ boat back up) from Frazer to Bribie so I dont think your crazy its the planing and timming thats the hard part(evryone in the right place with the right winds) good luck!!!
