I'm from the west, but ill be over at the gold coast for Uni Games (An excuss to drink and get an extension on all uni assignments) Just wanting to know if will it be worth me bring over my kite? I have an 11m and will be over there in a week 22/9 until 3/10,
Any thoughts? and where abouts are the best places near surfers?

hi salty dog, bring your 11 and you will be all good, just don't kite anywhere and i mean anywhere!!!!!!!!!!! within 50 meters upwind or downwind of the flagged swimming areas and don't cross them inside the back break because the wind is a little onshore! and all will be good! in other words stay away from all water users.
the lifeguards will confiscate your gear and penalise the locals if you are a trickster with no morals.
