Hi all,
I'm here for a 4 week holiday (from germany) and was kiting at cotton tree river mouth so far.
Yesteray, I went to noosa, but was surprised to see not a single kite there.
Kitebeaches.com tells me that there is a spot at the rivermouth. I was on the NW end of the beach (the SE river bank).
Btw. where to go when wind is S-SE the next days?
(I'm still learning to ride strapless directional, not afraid of deep water - as I usually kite in lakes)

cheers,
Alex

I was kiting there yesterday, from 4.30 till dark.

Before 4pm was an in-commming tide, as a result due to the light winds and tide direction. Its largely unsuitable for kiting as you will just head down river, further from the river month.

When wind is S-SE try Happy Valley. Also has a strong tide. Best time would be 1 to 2 hours after high tide.

Ah, ok. Tank you.
I'm a bit afraid of outgoing tide as still regularly fall from my board. Guess in ougoing tide it would be immediately lost...

Yes, very easy to loose your board but it's def worth the risk.

If your afraid of losing your board Lake Weyba is a good spot, nice and shallow that works in an E, SE and S wind direction.
