Is it just me or is anyone else noticing that there are way more Jelly's in the water than ever?
I can't remember a season where there was so many, the turtles must be getting so stoked out!

At a couple of spots off KFC you just don't want to fall off. There are that many of them clunking on your fins in the shallow's.
Also body bashing a beachy in Norther Rivers the other day it was dodge the Jelly day as they were every 2meters coming down the current. The shorey was pumping so I bumped quite a few of them, not good!

Anyhow is it just a 14 year cycle type of thing or is this there a lack of predators due to overfishing or maybe it's a climate change thing?

Just putting this out there as I'm sure there will be some interesting theory's going round on this one ?

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately it's not only down the coast.

I went out in Brighton/Sandgate yesterday and was the same...

Not fun when wind dies down and you are surrounded by a million jellies.

Still a mistery though...

Came ages ago with the northerly goodness and not leaving with the onshore swell. Same as the cornflakes. Wait for the next southerly swell for them to clear

All up the coast, northerlies bring them.

The light blue ones are nice on toast with some honey.

Had a few in cq, they are a pain in the ass when you drive over them. They stink like **** and when they dry it's hard to wash off

Lucky you Lofty,
they're getting bigger too. Tons of them behind the break yesterday, like speed bumps.

That's a pretty Aussie dish Nige, have you tried a sushi recipe ? Maybe a truffle cake thingy like those Vietnamese shakes with the beans ?
