I am down on the Gold Coast for a week and I'm chasing at least 15 knots and a little wave as I have none up in the whitsundays only a few months into it all so no where super crazy I'm running a 10m catalyst with ext on a 140 A board.

Mate unfortunately i think you have missed the wind. if some does eventuate you would be best to head to the carpark opposite the entry to seaworld. from there you have 1km of beach with no flagged areas and waves.
just be wary of the fellas up in the sand dunes...

Ive always called that beach ****ters.
Went there one saturday night for a look at the surf, that was a sight.
Or the time i walked from the spit back to phillip park through the bush tracks, i had no idea how many tents and other setups were there.
