Don't freaking teach at Lodders Creek ( aka ) KFC at the launch and land area.
Take them to safer locations away from rocks and fellow kite boards.
Shear water, middle sand bank, Kirra, kite island.
I've been kite boarding here for 12years or more and every kite instructor prior to now never taught in the launch and land area or the flat smooth water close to shore and rocks and trees. Why Why Why..every person over the years says the same thing why teach here.
Go to safer locations.. get a boat, get liability, get an idea..

[admin: moderated] All is good and situations has been diplomatically resolved. The problem is stationary kites in the one location for hours in front of the launch and land area. Feel free to chat when im there every after noon. . Huge regards Rory
Crash avoidance should be a part of lessons . students must be taught how to position there kite when passing . 12 is not always the safest place!! Nekminute there on the water and dont put there kite where it should be . All the classes are bad for that imho? Teach how to share aswell. Big fellas doing a great job @ council .
