just done the journey the other way and def recommend Hervey Bay and Noosa for flat, Yorkeys Knob at Caines, in Townsville can't remember beach name but there is a big kiting spot from the 5th car park along from end the Strand. You will see form road toilet block has winsurfers and kite painted on!!!!!!!!!
