hi im a pommy kitesurfer coming to my brothers wedding in july (3rd to 10th) in southport (he teaches at keebra) due to thai airlines policy of robbing ya friggin blind,i can only afford to bring my kites,i kite in north wales and although lovely its cold ,so the chance to kite in your spots cant be missed and a chance of a lifetime ,so could anyone lend,hire for a cheaper price than i can get in surfers,lend for a quantity of beer please not bothered what board or age please help,on the gold coast they want 60 dollars a day hire i said take ya mask of m8,id rather take my footstraps to ozz and buy a bit of wood can i do a little deal here nearer the time please many thanks from a pomm that just wants to kite a little on the goaldcoast (ex british army if it helps)cheers

From one pommy steve to another. I go back to see family in Liverpool most UK summers. I usually do a trip for the world's best fish and chips in Conway each visit. I've seen a couple of kiter's along the coast and I've gotta take my hat off to you guys. Yes, the wind is often nice and solid but man it does look bloody cold. Enjoy SE QLD conditions. Must warn you though that July aint the best and the softer locals will be complaining it's too cold!
Anyhow, must go, it's just hit a nice 16-22 SE and the tide has probably dropped enough to expose the sandbars that create acres of flat lagoon not 5 mins drive from my place. Gotta pop the sunscreen on as it's a lovely 28 outside. What's your weather like at the moment??

when your over give me a shout im part of a small group called kinmel bay kiters,we kite all over north wales black rock sands ,anglesey conway morta and west shore llanddudno we got a caravan in abegele so base our selves there then hit the road in me vw t4 and wind chase,if i can be of any help please ask ill warn the wooly backs that ur about lol,im kiting at a spot tommorrow in rhyl by the lifeboat the tourist board are trying to get us up there in the summer to promote the place its snowing all day across england today but the temperature is going up to 6 degrees so cant wait ,we use good 5-4-3 winter steamers neoprene beanies 5mm boots so its not that bad ,i put ralgex on my legs and arms lol ,when ya over get in contact ill help yaa out as much as i can cheers have a great time over there i am jealous

You are mad. 6 degrees as a top, stuff that. Hadn't thought about kiting when over next (this June/July) as there would be too much gear to take. If I have a day to spare and there was gear I could use, that would be cool? My wife also kites but she hates the cold and doesn't even go out here if it's below 15 .
