They have a saying in Qld Benny. The further North u go the better it gets. Hope you can make it up the coast to the Far North. Otherwise to be honest, you will be missing out on the best action. Areas North of Cooktown have only just become accessible and rival the best destinations on the planet. Sound like bull poo. Seriously mate. If you want the kind of conditions that warrant 7 metre kites and very large testicles then drop me a line.

Hey boys I lived in the Whitsundays for a bit and kiting at airlie is crap you have to go 30 mins north to bowen. there are plenty of beaches but take a 12 or 14 and dont expect to use anything smaller for the winter season.

As Surfari said the futher north the better it gets. Piss Airlie off and head to cains just as many nude backpackers there ready to party with at night.
