I've kited as far north as Maroochy and outside Twin Waters on a SEer however not as high as Noosa. I have seen guys on the north shore which would still be cross onshore to onshore depending where you are on the beach.

On that note, i'm going to be up at Rainbow Beach over the weekend. I was looking forward to kiting on the flat water next to Double Island point however on a SEer the wind will be going over the headland and be directly off shore. I don't think the off shore will be to much of a problem as the sand bars can catch me so my question is if it's to gusty with the wind over the head land?

Alternately, I assume the beach at the Rainbow Beach town will be a good spot on a SEer, avoiding the swimming areas, etc?

DI in a SE is surfers only spot. Winds shadow extends out about 2km.
