same old visitor questions!
I've just arrived on a 6 week holiday to Hobart / Tasmania for some unimportant weddings etc blah blah. More importantly I brought my kite gear and was hoping to hit a few of the spots around Hobart as well as doing some road trips to places like Marion Bay, Cloudy Bay and Marrawah, the East Coast etc - anywhere there is wind.
I know Tasmania pretty well (grew up here) but not in a kiting sense so was hoping for some advice on what to do / see / look out for? Have been looking at this site (
www.bom.gov.au/tas/observations/coastal.shtml) but any other local knowledge like what spots work in what directions, what spots are to be avoided etc would be much appreciated. Are the sea breezes reliable?
It would be great to meet a few locals as well since think I'm relocating here a bit later this year.
