Just moved to Canberra. Have heard mostly bad things about kiting on LBG but looking for a buddy who is keen to give it a go. Let me know if anyone keen....
I have been waiting for a good wind for some time now so I can get out on the lake. There is a guy that occasionally gets out but as he said the windy season in Canberra is around October and its freezing. Maybe in the next few weeks we could try and have a crack. You might get some negative answers about it but it is possible to kite on the lake. You just have to wait for a south easterly or a westerly and hope it stays around. The place to set up is in the east basin by the boat house restaurant. Its a bit tight but with two it would be easy. Also with the flooding there is a few trees that might have to be dodged.
