Hi guys,
Fortunate to be going to Tavueni Island mid June for 11 days of kiting. Need some advice on what size kites to take:
Me - Beginner (can stay upwind) 98kg, TT 140. Have a 8 and 12m 2015 Envy.
Mate - Beginner, 78kg, TT 138. Have a 10.5m 2015 Envy. We have the option to borrow a 9m.
Will this quiver work between the 2 of us, or do we need a bigger kite rather than the 9m. If so, any suggestions?
Thanks for your help!

Id take the 9 as well then you're covered with a 9 & 12 as you're heavier and your mate has the 8 & 10.5 looks so good for kiting over there enjoy

Take a light wind kite if you can. The wind patterns are cyclical, and you are more than likely to have a light wind spell. You'll be pissed when your mate is kiting on your 12 and you are watching. Don't need much clothing, so put all your weight into gear.

Thanks Junglejim, we are doing the Moon tour trip, and was told to bring our own equipment as there is not much available. Have 30kg allowance all the way through, so hopefully enough. I am now (or at least tomorrowwhen it is posted) the proud owner of a15.5m Solo, so should be covered for most days.

No kite hire or shop on Tavueni, so you need to be self sufficient. Tour will carry a bit of spare kit, but worth taking a repair kit and spare bar, perhaps even a spare board. Wt OK if you share with friend.

Thanks Katz, thats exactly what Trent from Moon tours told us. We hopefully will be set: 2015 LF Envy's - 8, 10.5 and 12m, a 15.5m Solo, and a borrowed 9m (unsure brand). 2 Bars - one CPR and one Response (have another CPR we can take if thats the advice, but might need to take a separate bar for the 9?) We will be taking 2 TT's, not sure we can squeeze another one in. This is between the 2 of us
