Has anyone experienced that after interstate funds transfer for a kite bought via seabreeze, the sender goes all quiet, does not reply to messages or the phone? How long should one wait before concluding that something funny is going on?

I'd say something is funny now if you feel the need to post here, how long ago was it? Does the seller work in the mines? Was their username one which has been around awhile or just started?

Hi ralfy, hope it all ends well for you but keep us updated - this post should really be in the general forum.

This is a big one for me!
If the person has a few genuine posts up, generally someone will know who the person is.
A lot harder to trust someone who just joined up yesterday...

Yup I couldn't agree more.

Before I transferred any funds over when i bought my 2014 North rebel a few months ago from an interstate seller I checked their profile, saw when they joined and how often they posted and also what they had been selling over the years to build up a character for what type of person I was going to be dealing with and untimately trusting with my $$ ... and as someone clearly pointed out already if they are a regular member on the forum someone will for sure know them ..

good luck and hope its just a case of Australia post being s l o w ....

PS: i had to wait almost 1 month to get my North Whip from QLD to Perth because there was a train derailment on the Nullabor and after getting that explanation from the courier company I felt much better ...

YeahI did a bit of due diligence.... The guy is on seabreeze since 3 years, sold stuff before. So should be alright. Now that he got his mobile back he promised to send last week. He is just a bit "under-communicating".
