yes he was a beginer who was kiting quite well.
he got launched near the shore and bought his kite down suddenly and got hammered into the sand at the waters edge.
Lucky there was a paramedic kiting. The paramedic looked after him until ambos arrived. He was unconscious and never regained.Looked realy ugly. Hope he recovers but he was not looking good .
Good lesson to wear a helmet and body armor when learning!!!!!

Firstly, I hope he pulls through OK.

The lesson from my perspective is to be kiting in cross-shore conditions rather than onshore when you're learning, and to always have plenty of clearance downwind.

A helmet and body armour help stop your head from cracking and ribs from breaking but they do nothing to prevent spinal injury. The best way to do that is to make sure there'll be water for you to crash in.
