Did you know that the Victorian State Championships (16th to 19th Dec) is part of four event series this year that will earn riders points in the series.

The other events are:

26 January 2011 - Kite Republic Port Phillip Cup, St Kilda Beach

12 & 13 February 2011 - KiteMag St Kilda Festival Showdown, St Kilda Beach

25, 26 & 27 February 2011 - The Inaugural Inverloch Unhooked presented by Inverloch Tourism and Kite Republic, Inverloch

The series points system work as follows:
At each event there will be 100 points which will be allocated across all competitors.

So, if for example if there are 10 competitors in an event then first will be allocated 100 points, second 90, third 80 and so on.

If there are 100 competitors then first will still get 100 points however second will receive 99, third 98 and so on.

In this way everyone who competes will receive points and will be in the running to win in the series and get some great prizes.
